Prefabricated construction has become a common term nowadays. In 2022, China’s newly started prefabricated construction area reached more than 800 million square meters, which witnessed an increase of over 9% over 2021. The rapid development of assembled buildings is not only because of their ease of installation but also because of their energy efficiency and emission reduction. Moreover, its construction level and construction quality are significantly improved, and it is a new construction method that can maximize sustainable development.
Recently, an assembly-type public housing project in Beijing has achieved the structural topping of the first buildings. This is one of the results of a series of innovative practices carried out by this construction company in recent years in the field of green and intelligent construction.
It is known that this project has adopted many new processes and technologies independently developed by the company, including the construction technology of prefabricated FRP (reinforced fibre material) air conditioning support. This public housing project has 14 residential buildings and 2 additional commercial buildings, of which the application ratio of horizontal components using prefabricated components or no-mold components is more than 70%.
